Edward Kraemer & Sons
Edward Kraemer nsand Sons is headquartered in Plain, Wisconsin with regional offices in Minnesota and Colorado and will be the Light Rail Transit Bridge constructor on the West Corridor.  Their extensive experience includes the development, construction, repair and design-build of heavy civil structures including: highway and pedestrian bridges, railroad bridges, dams and flood control structures, and industrial projects.  Kraemer most recently completed the Woodrow Wilson Bridge replacement encompassing two six-lane highway bridges across the Potomac River.  The bridge is the connecting highway between Virginia and Maryland with a bascule for passage of ships and barges. 

Edward Kraemer and Sons high quality work earned them the prestigious "Best of Bridge 2007" award for their work on the Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge in Rochester, New York.  A 433-foot bridge with arches rising 70-feet above ground, this unique bridge is the widest three-section arch bridge in the country and replaces a 50-year-old structure.

Meza Construction
Meza Construction Company, a Colorado local DBE firm, will be the subcontractor building the pedestrian bridges along the corridor.  Meza provides innovative ideas, value engineering and problem-solving in a partnership environment.  Their most recent project was at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in downtown Denver.  Their work included the completion of specialty flatwork, landscape boxes and permeable pavers in the drive-through entrance.  These pavers are the first such installation in downtown Denver.  Meza also worked on the signature remodel of the Denver Art Museum.  Included in their scope of work on the museum were plaza paving, sidewalks, stairs and curb and gutter.  In a collaborative effort with other local firms, Meza assisted in the creation of the water feature outside the museum.  Their innovative craftsmanship is visible on several projects throughout the Denver metro area.

Brothers Chris and John Meza provide a staff of experienced and skilled concrete carpenters and form-setters dedicated to delivering projects within the strict tolerances set forth by the industry.  Their valuable work experience includes basic foundations, caissons and piling, linear and curved retaining walls, heavy load-bearing bridge abutments and reinforced elevated bridge decks. 
Meza Construction Company is extremely active in the Denver community.  Chris Meza serves on the Board of Directors of the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art and the company is active with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Meza is also a member of several local construction organizations. 

YEH and Associates, Inc.
YEH and Associates, Inc. is a full service geotechnical engineering and materials testing firm that will provide Quality Control, material testing and inspections during the West Corridor construction.  YEH and Associates has two in-house testing laboratories in Colorado; one in Englewood and the other serving the western slope in Rifle.  These labs are fully equipped and staffed with trained, certified personnel.  Licensed professional engineers oversee the lab testing and the labs are capable of performing rock and soil properties tests as well as an array of asphalt, concrete, masonry and steel tests.

YEH and Associates believes that the key to a successful construction project is good field control of construction materials.  Their expert staff will provide field testing technicians and inspectors to ensure that the materials used in the construction of the West Corridor meet the strict guidelines set forth by RTD's specifications. 

YEH and Associates, led by Shan-Tai Yeh, Richard Andrew and Roger Pihl, employs over 30 professionals and technicians and provides services to a diverse clientele.  The firm is certified as a Small Disadvantaged Business, an Underutilized Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and a Minority-Owned Business Enterprise.

American West Construction
The newest member of the RTD West Corridor construction project, American West Construction provides skilled professionals with incomparable knowledge in earthwork, grading, waterline, sanitary sewer lines and storm lines.  They have begun their work in Lakewood improving the sanitary sewer and storm drainage along 13th Avenue and will move east towards Denver in this same role.

Their most recent experience includes the East 148th Avenue water line augmentation in Brighton, Phase One of the Peña Boulevard landscaping project for the City of Denver and the infrastructure improvements to Bromley Park Filing 102 in Brighton.  

American West Construction's senior management team has over fifty years of heavy/highway construction experience.   A solid background in infrastructure improvements, utility work, drainage and channel work and environmental mitigation will guarantee professionalism and turnkey site work for the West Corridor project.   American West's superior service and experience are a welcome addition to the construction team.
