Design Schedule and Milestones

Final Design
The RTD Board of Directors awarded the contract for Final Design of the West Corridor to David Evans and Associates (DEA) in September 2005. DEA received their Notice to Proceed in November 2005. The Final Design effort will advance the 30 percent design (which was completed during the EIS/Preliminary Engineering phase) to full 100 percent completion by late summer 2008.

Final Design is when details of the project are determined, including construction schedules, specific aesthetic and visual features and final cost estimates. RTD is committed to working closely with the community throughout all phases of this project.

Construction
Major construction began in 2008 and will be completed in late 2012 with the West Corridor opening for riders in 2013.  Click the 'construction' link above for more detailed information.
