1. What is the Southwest Corridor Extension?
The Southeast Corridor Extension is a proposed 2.5-mile light rail extension from Mineral to C-470/Lucent Boulevard. It is adding on to the current Southwest Corridor Light Rail line.
2. What has been decided on the Southwest Corridor Extension Environmental Planning Phase?
No decisions have been made. The Planning Phase will begin in 2008.
3. What is the schedule and when can the public participate?
RTD will conduct extensive community outreach throughout the project. The Environmental Planning Phase will begin in 2008, so please check back for updates and how you can get involved. After planning, the project will move into Final Design. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2013.
4. Are public meetings the only time the public can submit input?
No. Although the public meetings provide great opportunities to interact with the project team and become better informed about the project, public input also can be submitted in writing to Tina Jaquez, Southwest Corridor Extension Public Information Liaison, RTD-FasTracks, 1560 Broadway #700, Denver, CO 80202, or via the project Web site.
