RTD Celebrates Halfway Mark on Eagle P3 Construction
DENVER, Aug. 22, 2013 - The Regional Transportation District (RTD) celebrated
another milestone on the FasTracks program today. The Eagle P3 project, which comprises three commuter rail lines and a commuter rail maintenance facility, reached the halfway-to-completion point. The three lines are the East Rail Line to Denver International Airport (DIA), the Gold Line to Arvada and Wheat Ridge, and the first segment of the Northwest Rail Line to south Westminster. These three lines and the maintenance facility will open in 2016.
RTD Announces Potential Access Change to Station on North Metro Rail Line
DENVER, August 12, 2013 - The Regional Transportation District (RTD) announces a
potential relocation of access to the 72nd Avenue Station on the future North Metro Rail Line. The original plan was for automobiles and buses to access the station and parking area from 72nd Avenue. However, recent increase in truck traffic in the area creates potential safety concerns. The revised plan mitigates concerns by moving the access to the station to 70th Avenue, entering the station and the parking from
the southern end.
