Joint Prime and D/SBE and Other Contractors Meeting

RTD is pursuing a Public-Private Partnership to implement the East Corridor, Gold Line and commuter rail maintenance facility as one collective project.

The P-3 will allow RTD to partner with a private company or consortium to Design-
Build-Operate-Maintain-Finance the East Corridor, Gold Line and commuter rail maintenance facility projects under a single contract.

RTD held a EAGLE P3 Project Industry Forum at the Denver Athletic Club on July 30, 2008.  Disadvantaged and Small Business Enterprises (D/SBE) and other contractors were encouraged to attend to learn more about the P3 Project.   During the meeting RTD:

•    Described the P3 Project

•    Described  how the procurement of the services required to complete the   
      project will be achieved and the schedule

•    Discussed the participation of DBE and SBE firms

•    Described how firms not currently certified as either DBE or an SBE may apply
     for appropriate certifications

•    Answered questions

In addition, all firms  registered to attend the Concessionaire and Core Contractors Meeting were at the meeting to allow an opportunity to discuss the project and potential teaming opportunities.
